Recent works by Porcupine Art Club members, celebrating life on Earth, our island home. The art club dedicates itself to promoting art in the community, and to encouraging creative growth amongst the membership.
The exhibition includes works which represent a cross section of the club, from novice to professional artists.
Also, featured for the second year, is the Gary Bostrom Memorial People’s Choice Award. This gives YOU, the viewer, a chance to have a say in choosing your favourite piece from the show.
The winning artist will receive a People’s Choice Award certificate and a small stipend in memory of artist and club member Gary Bostrom (1954-2013).
Some of Gary’s murals can be seen in the McIntyre Arena and on the utility shed next to the flower bed facing Algonquin Boulevard East in Hollinger Park.
