Renowned journalist and columnist on international affairs Gwynne Dyer returns to the Timmins Museum: NEC for a discussion entitled Don’t Panic! (But You Can Worry a Little!) on Friday, April 1st, 2016 at 7:00pm.
Always informative and even entertaining, Dyer’s presentations never fail to enlighten, provoke, and stimulate. He has worked as a freelance journalist, columnist, broadcaster and lecturer on international affairs for more than 30 years, but he was originally trained as an historian.
Born in Newfoundland, he received degrees from Canadian, American and British universities, finishing with a Ph.D. in Military and Middle Eastern History from the University of London. He served in three navies and held academic appointments at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and Oxford University.
Dr. Dyer’s column is featured weekly in over 175 newspapers in 45 countries; his column appears locally in the Timmins Daily Press.
Tickets are available at the museum for $10.00.
