Originally from Germany, Gunhild Hotte emigrated to Canada in 1957 and settled in Northern Ontario, near Cochrane. Her award-winning acrylic and oil works are inspired by nature and the uniqueness of the Northern Canadian landscape.
“A very interesting commentary on our environmental issues by looking at our Northern Terrain and landscape through my artistic forms of expression — I was not ready to call it quits and have instead dug back in to ask more of myself before that time comes — some works will be new and some will be works not seen at the Museum.”
