The City of Timmins acknowledges that we are on the traditional lands of Mattagami, Flying Post, and Matachewan First Nations, within Treaty 9 territory, home to Ojibway, Cree, Oji-Cree, Algonquin, Métis, and Inuit peoples.

Tours

Discover the stories of Timmins through a guided tour of the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre! Our tours offer visitors a closer look at the museum’s permanent exhibition, which explores the rich history, culture, and people of the region — from its early beginnings to its vibrant present.

During the warmer months, guests can also step back in time with a visit to the Hollinger House, a carefully recreated 1930s miner’s home that offers an intimate glimpse into daily life during Timmins’ early mining years. (Please note: the Hollinger House is closed during the winter months.)

Tours are free of charge and are typically offered in both English and French, making them accessible to visitors of all ages. While you’re welcome to call ahead to arrange a tour, we also offer on-demand tours based on staff availability.

Whether you’re a lifelong resident, a student, or a first-time visitor, our guided tours provide a meaningful way to connect with the history and heritage of our community.
